Digital Village a new project launched by ICICI bank

A leading private sector bank – ICICI bank has launched a new project in Gujarat named – ‘Digital Village’. Under this project the bank has decided to cover a village and offer the entire range of services ranging from cashless banking to digitised school teaching.

The bank has unveiled the launch of this project on the completion of successful 60 years of banking of the bank. In the present of Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi the bank announced the launch of this project ensuring to offer technology based banking to every resident of the village. The Manager of ICICI bank stated that with the launch of this project the bank wants to show that how the use of technology can change the lives of people.

All the services including opening of bank accounts, cashless banking facility will be offered. It is also ensured that proper teaching regarding the banking without physical books will also be provided to the villagers. he bank has set up e-health, e-milk producer group, wi-fi connectivity and schools with digital black boards in the village.
