Former Chairman of SBI passes away

Mr. V S Natarajan, Former Chairman of State Bank of India, passed away on January 9th at his home at Boat Club Road in Chennai. Mr. Natarajan was to be 90 in another couple of days.

Mr. Natarajan joined the bank in 1943, before becoming the Chairman of the state bank of India; he held various senior level positions.

Mr. Natarajan was respected by all his co-workers and other bankers in the banking industry. He is also known for his straightforwardness right through his career as a banker.

Former SBI Chairman is survived by two daughters, a son, grand children and great grand children.

Mr. Natarajan's wife passed away a few months back.
