HDFC bank plans to add branches and technology products in Kerala

Private sector bank – HDFC bank while receiving the new generation bank award for the year 2013-14 announced that bank will increase its network in Kerala. The bank is having 139 branches at present and is planning to make it to 150.

The HDFC Bank holds three per cent of the total bank deposits in the State, and its customer base stands at 10 lakh. The bank has further plans to launch the technology products in coming two months. Further it has been reported that bank has opened new 12,600 accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana scheme. It also informed that the rates of the bank are expected to reduce by next year.
