J&K bank to set up branches outside the country

Jammu & Kashmir bank is planning to extend its network abroad. The bank will be setting up its branches in Dubai and London. Officials of the bank stated that though the decision it not yet final but most probably the bank will be establishing branches in these two areas since bank is having a number of business relationships in these countries.

Currently bank is not having any branch outside the country. Bank is having a total of 762 branches and most of the branches are in Jammu & Kashmir only. Bank will be opening more branches soon both in J&K and other areas as well. J&K Bank's gross advances increased by 21 per cent from a year earlier to Rs 44,282 crore at the end of December, 2013.
