K Subrahmanyam takes charge as Executive Director of Union Bank of India

The public sector lender, Union Bank of India (UBI), has appointed Mr. K. Subhramanyam as its new Executive Director. Mr. Subhramanyam took charge of his office at UBI yesterday. Prior to his appointment at UBI, he was providing his services to Indian Overseas Bank (IOB).

 Mr. Subhramanyam has a rich experience in the banking industry, which spans more than three decades. He started his career at Indian Overseas Bank in the year 1975 as a probationary officer and has held positions across departments throughout his career. Before being appointed as ED of UBI, he was working as the General Manager of IOB's micro, small and medium enterprises segment, he has also served the bank as the CEO of its Singapore Operations from the year 2008 to 2010.

This appointment has been made at a time when Union Bank of India's ED has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of Baroda.
