Kotak Mahindra to open new branches

From an official of Kotak Mahindra bank, it has come to knowledge that the bank is going to open more branches in India. At present, the bank has its 503 bank branches across India. The official says that at the end of this financial year, the bank will count it branch numbers to 600+. Among these branches, 76 will be rural and 119 branches will be located on semi urban area.

The VP and Head of the banking branch sector reveal that out of these branches, 45% branches will be open in the rural areas. The newly introduced ‘Kotak samridhi’ scheme will help to enhance the business of the rural milk suppliers in west Bengal. This project at present revolves round the Bengal’s districts like Hooghly and Burdwan. For doing this task in a smooth way, the bank is connected it with the National Payment Corporation of India.
