SBI bank to open new branch in Orissa

The highly networked bank of India – State bank of India has decided to set up 42 new branches in Orissa. The bank has plans to set up these branches before the end of this fiscal year. Out of 42, 15 new branches are planned to be established by January itself.

SBI has huge network spread all across the country with 820 branches in the Orissa only. Bank is also keen on expanding its services and branches in rural areas of the society as well.

With the aim to avail banking across all the under privileged areas, under the financial inclusion plan the bank has been asked to cover 900 Gram panchayats by the end of next fiscal year.
