SBT total business crosses Rs 1.5 lakh crore mark

State Bank of India's subsidiary, State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has marked total business of Rs 1.5 lakh crore on February 28.

SBT has recorded year-on-year growth of Rs 28,880 crore, a bank spokesperson said. Total business of the bank has grown by Rs 23,204 crore from March, 2012 level.

Deposits also reached Rs 84,483 crore from Rs 71,470 crore for March, 2012. Advances grew from Rs 56,034 crore (March, 2012) to Rs 66,225 crore.

SBT has also expanded its branches taking the total number of branches to 955. 21 new ATMs were installed taking their total to 950. Bank has laid an ambition to take the total number of branches to 1000.
