UCO Bank will get capital infusion of Rs 681 crore from Govt

The public sector lender, UCO Bank announced that the Central Government is likely to infuse Rs 681 crore as a part of government's capital infusion plan for the current financial year.

The Board has also approved the proposal for issue of equity shares on preferential basis in favour of Government of India for an amount aggregating to the tune of Rs 681 crore capital infusion, UCO Bank said in a statement.

The Government has approved capital infusion of Rs 12,517 crore in a round 10 state-owned banks by March.

Earlier in December, government was looking forward to infuse Rs 4000 crore capital in State Bank of India by the end of this fiscal.
