Women Bank now in Doon also

Country’s first women oriented bank bhartiya mahila bank has launched its 11 branch in Dehradun. Usha Ananthasubraminan, chairman and managing director of the bank while inaugurating the branch stated that these branches will help to enhance the women empowerment and widen the base of social development.

It has been reported that bank will serve all the women of self help groups, middle class with the banking products that will assist in sustainable development. The main purpose of the bank is to make banking facilities accessible to each and every women of the country.

The bank offer various schemes and facilities to its women customers. For the working women the bank organized special loan product for setting up day care centers. The bank is also planning to start up with more educational programmes, training sessions that will help to generate more income, more jobs and improve economic development of the country. Currently the bank is offering an interest of 5% on savings accounts with a balance of Rs. 1 lakh and above. For the women bank offers special concessions.
